This notice explains the current data handling of this community website. It is operated by volunteers from the Kenyan Waze community and is neither controlled nor managed by Waze.

The formal legal operator identity and dedicated privacy contact have not yet been published. No public form, account or other data-collecting feature will be enabled until those details and the applicable operating process are in place.

The current website does not provide public submission forms, user accounts, payments, newsletters or direct marketing. It does not contain first-party advertising or analytics code.

Like most hosted websites, technical information may be processed by the hosting and network provider when a page is requested. This can include an IP address, browser and device information, requested pages, timestamps and diagnostic or security logs.

Technical data may be used only to:

• deliver the requested pages and assets;
• protect the website and hosting service from abuse;
• diagnose faults and maintain reliability; and
• meet legal or security obligations that apply to the provider.

This website is hosted on Vercel. Vercel may process website traffic and service-generated information in accordance with its own privacy notice, including through infrastructure outside the country from which the site is accessed.

The current community website does not intentionally set first-party analytics or marketing cookies and does not use browser storage to build a visitor profile. Essential hosting or security technology may still be used by the infrastructure serving the site.

Links can take you to Waze, Google support, social channels, editor communities, Wazeopedia or other independently operated services. Those services have their own terms and privacy practices. This notice does not govern information they collect after you leave this website.

The volunteer community does not currently maintain a public-submission or user-account database for this website. Retention of hosting and security logs is controlled by the relevant provider and its service settings. A separate retention schedule will be published before public forms or authenticated features are activated.

Depending on the law that applies, a person may have rights to ask whether personal information is held, request access or correction, object to certain processing, or request deletion where permitted.

Until a dedicated privacy contact is published, use the community routes in the Contact section for a privacy question. A formal privacy route will be published before this country website collects information through forms or accounts.

This notice will be updated when the website introduces forms, accounts, analytics, new service providers or another material change in data handling. The date shown at the top identifies the current published version.
